Kodaikanal - Vellagavi - Kumbakarai (Camp stay)

Go if you wish to experience the serene side of Kodaikanal! This is our first time long distance trek as friends and we totally enjoyed it.When we reached Vellagavi the view was totally worth it.We got to experience the quieter side of the nature and the wonderful weather.For beginners like us it was exhausting in few places especially the downhill but the guides were very friendly and helped us all along the way.

Gudiyam Caves Heritage Trail

In 2026 first nature walk The trek was far more than a nature walk—it felt like stepping back in time. Gudiyam Cave, believed to have been inhabited nearly 200,000 years ago by Stone Age humans, stands as one of India’s most remarkable prehistoric sites. Standing inside the cave and picturing how early humans once lived there was truly an awe inspiring experience. It’s amazing to discover such a historically rich and significant location just outside Chennai. The trail itself was scenic, refreshing, and well suited for both beginners and seasoned trekkers. The team from Trek Tamil Nadu ensured seamless coordination, prioritizing safety while sharing fascinating insights about the cave’s archaeological importance, the local flora and fauna, and even the reptiles found in the region. Their dedication made the entire journey enjoyable and peaceful Overall, it was a beautiful blend of history, nature, and adventure. I would highly recommend this trek to anyone seeking a unique and enriching experience near Chennai. A big thank you to Trek Tamil Nadu, the Tamil Nadu Forest Department, and the TN Government for showcasing such hidden treasures to the public!

Kutladampatti Falls -Thadagai Trail

Incredible Experience Had an incredible experience trekking at Kutladampatti. I was a total beginner and became a bit overwhelmed once we started the trip. But my fellow-trekkers as well as the guides were extremely helpful and encouraging, reassuring me that it would get easier as we hiked. They even offered to carry my backpack- shout out to Murugan Anna for helping out. As we progressed, it became very scenic- pristine pools, ageless rocks and hidden trails that led up further into the hills. I loved my first trek. Because of how helpful the guides were, I am planning more treks with Trek TN.

It was an amazing experience . Short , beautiful kids friendly trek..Dense forest. and it was fully covered with fog.. Beautiful.. we saw the fresh tiger and leopard paw prints and variety of tree.. The trek guide Mr.Tamilan was very friendly and informative..

Courtallam - Shenbaga Devi Falls

I did this trail in the 10 am slot. Durairaj and Kannan were our guides for the same. We started from the courtallam forest guest house. On our way, we were given information about flora and fauna around . Since it had rained the day before, the weather was excellent. It was drizzling and perfect for a walk. We took short stops to see a waterfall on our way, enjoy the greenery and listen to the sounds of the beautiful birds. The temple and Shenbagadevi waterfall is spectacular. Nestled in the forest, you are surrounded by greenery, medicinal plants , sound of the waterfall and lots of monkeys. It was extremely peaceful there with strong positive energy. After spending some time at the waterfall, we headed back to the base where we started from. Our guides were well mannered, professional and informative. They were strict with regards to our safety which is commendable. Highly recommended for beginners. I look forward ro to more treks with Trek Tamil Nadu.

I have done this trek on 03.01.2026. A splendid experience into wild forest. Lots of variety of birds, trees can be seen. Luckily we didn’t run into wild animals. Forest officials will be coming along and guide throughout the journey amazingly. Go out there and enjoy the stunning view.

Longwood Shola. A trek for everyone. Wonderful initiative. This easy trek was doable for families with children. The guides were knowledgeable and the route is really beautiful, going through an old well preserved forest.
