Just a few hours from Madurai and 54 km away from Theni is the picturesque trek destination called Chinna Suruli falls. The trek begins at the Thenpalani checkpost and stretches over 12 km through the varied landscapes of the Ghats, from scrub forests to rocky topography to montane grasslands as you travel up. This scenic trail offers excellent opportunities for bird watching and wildlife spotting. Be on the lookout for the distinct Blue-faced Malkoha, and birds of prey as you gain altitude. Amidst all the endowments of this trail, the view of the cascading falls will make you spellbound and revitalised.
