Located in the Western Ghats slopes of the Tenkasi district, Theerthaparai is a lesser known scenic cascade plunging from a height of over 350 feet. This remote destination can only be reached on foot through the moderate and rustic forest trail. The trail is known for birds as one can spot various species, ranging from the prominent Hornbills to the tiny flowerpeckers. You'll also see the Southern Birdwing, the largest butterfly in the country in addition to several smaller species. The trek serves as a secluded getaway for those who wish to feel energised and overcome the stress of mundane life.

Easy trail with nice views beside along a water stream. Suitable for family and kids Well organized and trained staffs. Specially Mr Rajkumar, Forest Officer, Mr Chinna Ravi and Mr Shekar were very informative and helpful throughout the trail.
