Simple beginner trek - trail is a mix of stairs/steps made of stones and regular path with a nice temple and a viewpoint at the top.
It was the great experience. Especially the dense forest, birds chirping without any vehicle noise gives you the better peace where it's rare to find nowadays. When you're planning be ready to face little rough surface though. The guide was so friendly, he motivated to finish our trekking and he had so much patience. At one point, when I couldn't carry my bag he carried it, so thankful for that. Better to keep the bag at ground office itself or please carry less things. But one word "worthy" if you want to experience the real forest.
We, a group of senior citizens (Retired Engineers and classmates) set out for trekking in Aug. A nice trekking choice for the first time trekkers and families. You can enjoy the walking through the forest which is not so densed. Peaceful but tough terrain at some places. Unable to see any kind of animals, but few birds here and there. At the top, there is a small cave temple and from there you can watch/admire the beauty of the surrounding hills. There are no facilities for drinking water and washrooms either at the starting place or at the top. Carry a small backpack with enough water and snacks. You can also carry a bamboo stick which will of great use while coming down. It will take a max of 4 hrs if you don't rush and walk casually. Given a chance, we will come back again. Happy Trekking....... D MANOHARAN, Chennai
My friend and I embarked on this trek with our families with ages ranging between 12 and 50. The forest reception staff were very helpful in getting our registration done and also gave us directions and useful tips. They gave all of us golf caps that were very useful given the warm conditions. The forest staff also did rounds checking on trekkers to see how they did that made us feel safe. Thank you Trek Tamilnadu for this wonderful experience!
Talking from a female solo traveler pov, the whole trekking experience was good. The trek was comparatively easier. The trail was nearly well defined. The view at the top was great as well. Guide Mahesh did a wonderful job. He even helped me reach the bus stand to catch the bus at the earliest. Met some wonderful trekkers as well. Long story short, one memorable experience!
