Overview
Sethumadi is a beautiful hill town located at around 25 kilometers from Pollachi. Once you cross the Sethumadi check post and drive through the scenic village you can get a glimpse of the canal that pass through the village. This canal is the lifeline of the village which grows cash crops and mangoes extensively. The walk starts from the banks of the stream flowing from Aliyar dam. As you walk past the village you get to see the farmlands, people and their everyday life, it is truly an immersive experience. As you go along you get to take a diversion and experience the forest and continue the walk by the stream. The walk ends at the dam and you drive back through the scenic village of Sethumadai. As the fringes offers more visibility it is ideal spot for bird-watching.
