It is an easy walk in the park. Gradual ascent followed by gradual descent. Ending at Karaiyar dam. The tribal guides were knowledgeable, enthusiastic. However, there are not enough vehicles available with the forest department to the drive from the trek reception point to the trek starting point AND from the trek finishing point back to the trek reception point. This also caused a lot of delay. For the first time trekkers and beginners, a nice trail to try. Should do only during monsoon months
Karaiyar is the place to visit ,guides and forest officials are very friendly and explained very well
Slightly easier trail. Should improve the trek distance by 1 or 2 km. Also, finish the stretch at the Karaiyar Dam view. A friendly guide explained the Karaiyar forest well and the way of keeping forests plastic-free was good. Recommended for families.
A great introductory trek for kids! I took my 9-year-old son on this trail. It’s relatively short and easy, making it perfect for families. Starting near Servalar, we walked through an old jungle trail to reach Karaiyar. Our guides were excellent and very helpful, pointing out bird facts and medicinal plants along the way. While the forest is incredibly thick, green, and beautiful, we didn't spot any large animals due to the dense cover. A peaceful walk through nature!
Good arrangements and guides are very informative and explained very well about the forest and animals
