Welcome to the Hill station of Yercaud, located in Salem district, Tamil Nadu. Alight at Nagalur village, where the adventure begins. Step onto the Sanniyasimalai trail in the company of Guides and you can have a wholesome experience of trekking through the Eucalyptus plantations and verdant Shola Forest patch to reach the fern-covered mountain viewpoint. Admire the rich biodiversity, the rocky peaks, Mettur dam-view and the valley beneath while breathing in the misty mountain air. You'll be delighted to know that this peak is the origin point of the Sarabanga river, a tributary of the Cauvery.

MY FIRST SOLO TREK

we had visited Nagalur - Sanniyasimalai Peak during this summer april 2025 we enjoyed the trip ,the staff are so friendly and till the end they carefully guided us and ensure the safety of the trekker , it is easy to trek even school student can trek easily . we booked ,trekked, enjoyed .
Amazing Sanyasilamai Trek
This is our first trekking experience with Trek TamilNadu - oh it was amazing! We were accompanied by the forest rangers who had the ultimate knowledge about the biodiversity around the trail. They were very kind and were explaining everything en route. We spotted a bison and a boar which was my first time. The richness of the shola forest was indescribable. It was an easy trek , we reached the peak shortly and saw a stunning view of Yercaud and the surrounding hills. We are very happy that such activities are undertaken by the TN Government with such meticulous preparation. Thank you Trek TamilNadu Team!
