This was my 6th Trek put together by the awesome Tamil Nadu Forest Department. I would rate it the Best for all, so far. If you are thinking whether to do this Trek or not, think no further – it is certainly 100% worth it. The Trek starts at the foothills of Megamalai mountain and has something to offer for everyone: 1. Trek takes you through the pristine, very quiet and serene forests untouched by humans. This route traversed by Elephants mostly – you can see the footprints of Elephants and other animals (like wild buffalo) all through the walk. 2. The route covers diverse Scrub forests, Grasslands and Evergreen Forests with beautiful views of Megamalai mountain and its rocky terrain. 3. A lot of beautiful water streams on the way with pure, crystal-clear water that refreshes you thoroughly (no need to carry water when you have the Best from nature) 4. When you reach the zenith peak point on top of the mountain – enjoy those awesome and beautiful views; Take a deep breath and breathe the fresh air devoid of any population; Listen to the chirping birds. 5. Be thrilled by the part of the last part of the hike – It’s a very steep descent down the hill that ends in Suruli falls; Enjoy the Beautiful Suruli falls, its pure water, and bathe in the falls. Last but not the least, the Forest department and its awesome staff lead by Mr. Sethuraj (along with Ganesh, Nitish, Vignesh Jeeva and Monish) were very awesome and made the trip very hospitable and memorable; I learnt a lot from them regarding the habitat of animals and the flora that are part of the Forest. Take this Trek, enjoy nature at its own state - you will be inspired, refreshed, and rejunuvated
